Due to holiday travels and activities, tonight’s class had limited participants which allowed Wade to incorporate a series of handstand attempts at the end of all the other wonderful poses we enjoyed! The best prop for handstand practice is a wall! You will enjoy lots of elongating and twisting for the spine during this hour and a half yoga flow.

Make this year’s resolution to practice your yoga often…..”on” and “off” the mat!
Today’s practice begins with sun salutations A & B’s, with the last rounds incorporating extended angles and triangles, rotated triangles, half moon and rotated half moon. Enjoy some standing leg lifting into tree, crescent lunges with twists, half pigeon, some push-ups, including one arm attempts!, cobras, locust and of course bow. How about some rabbit, hero, camel and don’t forget the ab work….boats, bicycles, and crunches…..Whew! What a great practice!!

Tonight’s practice starts out paced through some sun salutation A’s and B’s with variations, then moves into a nice triangle series. You will work the wrists and elbows with poses like eagle, tree, locust, fixed firm pose and eight sided pose. All can be challenging, so remember to work at whatever level you are! Have a wonderful practice and a Happy New Year!
