You can call this one Hips and Hamstrings with a Headstand. After a nice set of warm-ups with detours you’ll work on loosening up the biggest joint in the body (your hips) and work on stretching those dang darn tendons (your hamstrings) that keep holding back that incredible Tittibhasana (firefly/insect pose) that you keep envisioning yourself in!! The three point headstand moves into crow for an additional challenge.

92 degrees outside…….112 degrees inside! Summer is here! Wade gives us a nice mix in this practice. Listen carefully, because the warm ups are changed up and not the usual flow. Wade likes to keep us on our toes! In this class you get a chance at Bird of Paradise and the Firefly A-with your feet up, B-with your feet down and folded over and C-make yourself look like a half man walking around! Oh that Freaky Wade!

Due to a thunderstorm moving through the area tonights class was recorded while the electricity was out. The hot moving bodies heated the room quite well without the use of the electric heaters. Wade will help you reverse all that time spent hunched over the computer or all those tasks we perform throughout the day in a forward bending position. This class keeps you moving with poses to work out all those kinks in your back. While you warm it up gently with Cat and Cow, the focus eventually moves to the Bow Pose. Your aching back will thank you!

This class was recorded on the eve of a full moon, therefore this practice is slow moving, has longer held poses and gives your body a chance to go deeper using gentle gravity. A great one for a hot summer day or when you just don’t feel like jumping about on your mat so much today!
