From Kara: Great class! A little different mix of poses this time. You can expect sun salutation with lots of variety, shoulder stretching, ab work, arm strength poses, hamstring stretches, and interesting series starting with sitting cross legged to stretch the front of the hips and ending one of the hardest balance poses I’ve ever tried, a tough lower back strengthener series and some nice seated twisting poses.

Tonight’s class is based on the primary series- the anchor of ashtanga yoga. The primary series encompasses a lot of poses- it’s tough to do them all in a 90 minute class- but this class gets to many of them. It’s fast-paced, and time-tested to be a quality workout. As Wade points out, if you know the primary series, you have a workout you can do anywhere.

From Kara: pretty typical example of Wade’s style Yoga class.  starts out with heat generating Sun Salutations with variations, moves into long, sustained balance poses on one leg focusing on leg and butt strength/flexibility, eventually moving to the floor for some lower back work and a bit of abs.  Remember to focus on the breathing and trying to relax unused muscles (like the face) during the harder bits.  enjoy.

Wade calls tonights class an "extension of the previous class"…I wasn’t at the previous session, but this workout is pretty tough and well-rounded. All of your favorites are here: upper push-up, triangle, a long tree/ balance pose, etc, etc. Get ready to work.
