"Balance" is the manta of this class, being the first day of Spring and yoga being about balance anyhow, seems fitting. Class works both sides of the body, forward and back bending and side to side as well. There is a brutal little Warrior 1 series that wraps up with a couple of good hip opener stretches. Class seems to focus on a part of the body, warm it up, wear it out, stretch it out and then work the opposing muscle—balance.
Intense lower back work towards the end of class (watch out for Wade’s counting–he has issues). 90+ minutes seemed to go by really quickly.
