Difficulty Level: Moderately Difficult

Greetings Yoga Fans,

A possible theme for tonights class could be “upper push-up position”. Tonight’s session isn’t a screamer, but there a couple of challenging spots, particularly a lengthy one leg sequence, a fun head-under-leg thing and a multi-part “Fun With Lower Back”™ sequence towards the end.

Enjoy!

I wasn’t at tonight’s class, but here is the synopsis from my sources: “Uh, we kind of did a really modified sun salutation in the beginning…lots of warriors right off the bat…we did frog…some inversions towards the end. I’d say it was medium difficult”.

There you go.

The theme of this class is “hip openers”- great for anyone who skis, bikes or runs. As Bryan Kest would put it, get ready to reach into “The Amazon” or your body.

Tonight’s class goes back to the basics. Straight forward, classic Vinyasa yoga. The pace is not necessarily slow, but deliberate with a focus towards technique. This class is a great primer for Wade’s style of yoga.

Hi Everybody,

OK- back in business. Tonight’s class is a doozy. Get ready for extended, modified sun salutations, long balance poses, and a little treat Wade calls “yoga push ups”, which to the untrained eye, look remarkably similar to regular push ups. Anyway, enjoy, and get ready to sweat.

Also- I apologize for the less than perfect sound quality- I goofed up when I recorded it. But you all can deal with it, I’m sure.

Hello everyone,

This week our great friend and business partner Daniel DeLaVergne was killed in a horrible accident- I’m sure many of the paddlers out there have already heard this news. At any rate, my family and I are down in Asheville for the services and to begn to sort out the business, and subsequently, Yogiwade.com is going to be on a short break. We should be back in town next week, and we will be back up and running as soon as possible.

Daniel was not only one of the world’s most talented whitewater kayakers, but also an accomplished videographer and all around tech-head. He was the one who first told me about “podcasting” and all of these classes were recored on his equipment. He didn’t like yoga that much, but he loved the idea of recording Wade, and he listened to a portion of every recording to give me tips on how to improve the sound quality. To say that my life will be changed forever now that he is gone is the honest to god truth.

After the warmups, tonights class seems to focus on balance poses- get ready to feel the love in the soles of your feet and calfs. Over the course of the 90 minutes we’ll visit some of your favorites: eagle, airplane, tree. Also: Fun With Abs™, bridge, wheel.

Tonight, the infamous New Moon session….engineered for what some yogis describe as a time when you are most likely to sustain injury. This is a great class for people in recovery- be it from other exercise or even from the cold that everyone seems to have right now.
